Meet Erinne Gibson
I’m the owner of Soulful Serenity Mental Health Counseling Services.
This isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of what we believe in & the high standard of care we strive to achieve each day. We’re here to create a warm, caring space for you to heal, led by a shared commitment to helping others develop their best selves.
I specializes in trauma, addiction, anxiety, eating disorders, and life transitions, providing compassionate, client-centered therapy for adolescents and adults across New York, Florida, & South Carolina through virtual counseling services.
My Take on Our Approach to Care
Many adults reach out for therapy when anxiety, depression, trauma, or overwhelming life stress begin to feel too heavy to carry alone. You may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. Past experiences may still shape how you see yourself, your relationships, or your sense of safety in the world. Therapy can offer a steady, supportive space to process what you’ve been through and begin building a more peaceful and compassionate relationship with yourself.
Many people hesitate to seek help because they feel their struggles are not “serious enough.” If you find yourself constantly thinking about food, feeling guilt after eating, avoiding meals, bingeing, restricting, or criticizing your body throughout the day, you deserve support. You do not have to wait until things feel worse to begin healing.
I work with adults who want to better understand their emotions, break free from patterns that no longer serve them, and develop healthier ways of coping. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply supportive. Sessions are a nonjudgmental space where you can explore difficult emotions, gain clarity about your experiences, and reconnect with your own resilience and inner strength.
I specialize in therapy for eating disorders and body image concerns, including restrictive eating patterns, binge eating, and the constant self-criticism many people carry about their bodies. Eating disorders often develop as coping strategies in response to deeper emotional pain, trauma, or struggles with control and self-worth. In therapy, we work together to understand those underlying experiences while building a healthier relationship with food, your body, and yourself.
My work is grounded in a gentle, client-centered approach that integrates mindfulness, self-compassion, and evidence-based techniques. Clients often come to me when trauma has contributed to anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, or difficulties with self-worth. While my style is compassionate and calm, I also provide thoughtful guidance and gentle challenges that support meaningful and lasting growth.
I bring several years of experience supporting individuals in both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use treatment settings. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Community Mental Health from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Adult Mental Health at the University at Buffalo and hold CASAC credentials through Corning Community College.
Beginning therapy takes courage. If you're ready to address trauma, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, substance use, or everyday stress, I would be honored to support you. Together, we can work toward healing, resilience, and a greater sense of peace in your life.
